Dr Laurie is a Principal Nutrition Scientist at Tate & Lyle where she is responsible for managing nutrition research projects across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Dr Laurie supports scientific activities relating to Tate & Lyle’s ingredient portfolio, in particular dietary fibres and low-calorie sweetening solutions.
Dr Laurie is passionate about health and nutrition research and her current focus area is dietary fibres and their potential to support digestive health and other health improvements.
Dr Laurie has a PhD in Nutritional Science from the Manchester Metropolitan University. Prior to joining Tate & Lyle, she worked for leading beverage producer Suntory, where she contributed to a UK-wide sugar reduction initiative. Dr Laurie has also held positions of researcher and lecturer at several UK academic institutions.
