Tate & Lyle to showcase scientific expertise and nutritional innovations that shape a healthier, more flavourful future at SupplySide West Conference

CHICAGO, UNITED STATES, 15 October, 2024: Tate & Lyle, a world leader in ingredient solutions for healthier food and beverages, will return to the upcoming SupplySide West (SSW) Conference (Booth #2745) in Las Vegas, US, set to take place 28-31 October 2024.

As a leader in the specialty food ingredients sector, Tate & Lyle is set to introduce a range of innovative developments, reaffirming its commitment to healthier eating, scientific innovation, and sustainability — delivering the opportunity to develop tastier food and beverage options.

"As we look to the future of food and beverage innovation, Tate & Lyle is focused on delivering solutions that are not only flavorful and nutritious but also sustainable and accessible," says Jessica Wilford, VP, Head of Category Planning and Development, Tate & Lyle North America. "With the industry evolving rapidly, we invite everyone to join us at the SSW Conference to discover how our innovations in food science are empowering manufacturers to stay agile while supporting healthier living."

Tate & Lyle's presence at the SSW Conference reinforces the company's dedication to providing innovative ingredient solutions. The show will highlight new product developments and exciting new prototypes and see where science meets innovation.

Prototypes Showcasing Formulation Expertise

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience two distinctive prototypes showcased by Tate & Lyle experts at the event. The first is a no sugar added Cinnamon Dulce Protein Fluff Bar featuring 13 grams of protein per serving and an excellent source of fibre claim.

The second is a Charcuterie Snack Pack, which includes Ranch seasoned Protein Crackers that are high in protein and low in net carbs, a no-sugar-added Beef Jerky, and a Lemon Lime Electrolyte Chew enriched with fiber with no added sugar.

Ingredient Highlights:

  • Tate & Lyle is pioneering the future of sweetness with its extensive and growing range of stevia solutions. Try OPTIMIZER STEVIA® 8.10, a ground breaking stevia composition for cost-effective premium sweetening.
  • Unlocking the science of delicious nutrition with its versatile, complementary soluble fibres. Experience the benefits of PROMITOR® Soluble Fibre and EUOLIGO® FOS.
  • In response to the USDA’s recent approval of the use of Allulose in Jerky applications, Tate & Lyle developed a No Sugar Added Beef Jerky featuring DOLCIA PRIMA® Allulose. Designed to meet the needs of health-conscious consumers seeking less sugar in their diets, without compromising on taste and texture.

Commitment to Sustainability

Tate & Lyle is accelerating emissions reductions to help customers meet their 2030 targets. In May, they announced ambitious new greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets, to be delivered by 2028, consistent with reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Climate Agreement. Tate & Lyle’s new near-term science-based GHG emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the corporate climate action organization that rigorously validates companies’ climate targets.

More recently, Tate & Lyle announced a major acceleration in its climate action with the signing of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in North America for renewable electricity and renewable energy credits (RECs) with clean energy leader Enel North America. With this PPA supporting other renewable initiatives, 100% of the purchased electricity in Tate & Lyle’s North American operations will now come from renewable sources.

Tate & Lyle invites food scientists, technologists, R&D managers, product developers, industry professionals, and media to visit its booth at the SSW Conference (booth #2745). Attendees can explore their cutting-edge solutions and engage with the team driving innovation in taste, health, and sustainability while discovering the future of food and nutrition firsthand.
