Tate & Lyle Opens New Applications and Technical Service Facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Sao Paulo, Brazil – (April 9, 2012) – Tate & Lyle, a leading global provider of ingredients and solutions for the food, beverage and other industries, announces the opening of its new Application and Technical Service facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The new facility is part of Tate & Lyle’s global network of 15 applications and technical service laboratories that provide applications studies, rapid prototyping and complete formulation expertise to help food and beverage customers’ transition more quickly from product conception to market.

The new facility is conveniently located close to Congonhas Domestic Airport in Sao Paulo, and offers expertise in the innovative, versatile application of Tate & Lyle’s ingredients that support new product development and line extensions in the beverage, bakery, soups, sauces and dressings, dairy and snack categories.

The new facility employs the latest technology available for sweeteners, health and wellness ingredients and texturants, including an IKA colloid mill and a RVA system to test the applicability and behavior of Tate & Lyle’s wide range of starches, simulating processing conditions.
