Consumer demand for great tasting, fibre-enriched products shows no sign of abating, with more than half of consumers in the Middle East wanting more fibre and less sugar in their diet.1

Dr Ieva Laurie, Principle Scientist Europe, Middle East and Africa at Tate & Lyle, added: “Average fibre intakes in Europe, the Middle East and some regions of Africa are below recommended levels and this is a key public health concern. By enriching foods and beverages with fibre, manufacturers are making a real difference to consumer diets, and we are proud to support this work through our portfolio of soluble fibres and application expertise.”
