You don’t get to be 160 years old, like Tate & Lyle, without your extraordinary people continually doing extraordinary things. That’s why we host the Extraordinary People Awards, to recognise and celebrate our people who have gone above and beyond in their contribution to our business.
People are what make this company great. It’s our people who have been constantly innovating and changing the face of Tate & Lyle for 160 years. And it’s our people who will keep us strong as we move into the next exciting phase of our company. Over the past two years we have seen a lot of extraordinary moments and progress – an even clearer focus on our customers, world-class ingredient innovation, manufacturing excellence and an increased emphasis on making the world around us a better place by living our Purpose of Improving Lives for Generations.
This year we celebrated the people who helped make that happen at the Extraordinary People Awards 2019 in Miami, Florida. We had 565 nominations for our eight award categories, all of whom were selected by their peers within the business for their extraordinary work over the past two years. Our judges then whittled it down to 25 finalists who were treated to a two-night stay in sunny Miami, Florida, culminating in a stylish awards ceremony where the winners of our eight award categories were announced.
A huge congratulations to everyone who was nominated, and in particular to our eight winners:
