KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum

KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum is a versatile rheology modifier and industrial stabiliser, serving as a flow control additive in many applications such as coatings, cleaners, and sealants.

Introduction to KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum

Fermentation-derived KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum was developed to address rheology challenges in applications with varying challenges and operating conditions, such as harsh temperatures, low-water systems and cationic-containing formulations. It improves performance by controlling flow, maintaining stability and even the sprayability, meaning it can stabilise foams and improve the clinging to inclined/vertical surfaces thanks to its high pseudoplasticity.

KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum application areas

The potential is vast for versatile KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum, with compatibility across industrial, agricultural and consumer applications.

KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum can be used as a stabiliser and suspension agent for pre- and post-harvest products such as herbicides, insecticides and fungicides suspension concentrates.

Effective coverage with foams and spray-on applications, even on inclined surfaces, caustic conditions and cationics presence is possible with the stability and suspension capabilities of KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum.

KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum provides excellent suspension of pigments for even colour and coverage in pourable paints and sealants. It offers excellent in-can stability, application rheology by maintaining spreadability and can be used for heavy pigment coatings because of its excellent suspension capabilities.

KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum can help suspend and stabilise active ingredients in pest control products, including topical pesticide sprays, gels and pour-on liquids for pets as well as professional pest control and turf management products. It also helps to maximise shelf life and efficacy by preventing sedimentation.

How we apply KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum

With versatility across many applications, the benefits of KELCO-VIS® Diutan Gum are many: long-term suspension, resistance to temperature change, and emulsion stabilisation in alkaline, acid and salt systems.
