Discover KELCOSENS™ PiEL Citrus Fiber®, a natural emulsion stabiliser and thickener from upcycled citrus fibre for sustainable skincare formulations with enhanced texture.
As the first Upcycled Certified®* citrus fibre ingredient on the market, KELCOSENSTM PiEL Citrus Fiber® was developed to help combat consumer concerns about emulsifiers and answer their desire for more sustainably produced ingredients in skin care. Upcycled from citrus peels that come from the juice industry, KELCOSENSTM PiEL Citrus Fiber® enhances the stability of emulsions, suspensions and foams. Our manufacturing process allows us to convert peels into a citrus fibre that retains much of its pectin content, so it is gentle on skin and easy to apply with a smooth and fresh feel.
*Upcycled Certified® is a registered trademark of The Upcycled Food Association/Where Food Comes From.
KELCOSENS™ PiEL Citrus Fiber® helps product developers create emulsifier-free skin care applications with tunable texture.
As an alternative to surfactant-based emulsifiers, KELCOSENS™ PiEL Citrus Fiber® enables the use of more than 20% oil for gel-cream textures. It provides a light and refreshing skin feel with no soaping or tack, and it plays well with other ingredients for sensational texture possibilities, from silky serums and lotions to gel-creams.
As a business, we rarely stand still. We invest a huge amount of time and energy in researching, assessing and analyzing trends and insights across both industries we work in. Developing a deep understanding of our customers is a big part of our product development approach.

Almost all byproducts from our production process are returned to the community. For example, leftover peel is turned into animal feed or fertiliser for local crops. From water to steam and everything in between, we keep the circularity approach going by creating value streams instead of waste.
